1. Eligibility & Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, accessing, or using Muna ("the Service", "we", "our", or "us"), you represent that you are at least 13 years of age (or at least 16 years of age in the European Union or United Kingdom) or have obtained verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

You agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable domestic and international laws. If you do not meet these eligibility requirements or do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. AI Tutoring & Academic Disclaimer

Muna provides supplementary, AI-driven Socratic tutoring, automated chalkboard diagrams, vector visualizations, and document comprehension tools. Artificial intelligence models and visual rendering pipelines are probabilistic and subject to algorithmic limitations, latency, or factual inaccuracies ("hallucinations").

Muna is an educational study aid and does NOT provide accredited professional, medical, legal, or licensed engineering advice. Muna makes no warranty regarding academic grades, test scores, exam results, or admission outcomes. You agree to independently verify all formulas, proofs, citations, and critical facts against authoritative textbooks and course syllabi.

3. Academic Integrity & Acceptable Use

Muna is engineered strictly to cultivate deep conceptual intuition and genuine student mastery. You agree not to use the Service to engage in academic dishonesty, plagiarism, honor code violations, unauthorized live test-taking assistance, or any practice prohibited by your educational institution. Muna reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found using the Service to violate academic integrity standards.

4. Subscriptions, Billing & Strict No-Refund Policy

Muna Studio Pro is offered as an all-inclusive monthly subscription ($7.99 USD / month) billed securely through our merchant of record, Dodo Payments. Your subscription automatically renews each monthly billing cycle until you cancel.

Strict No-Refund Policy: Because real-time AI reasoning, GPU vision processing, multimodal document extraction, and high-durability cloud storage are provisioned immediately upon purchase, all payments and subscription fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation at Period End: You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Customer Portal in Account Settings. Upon cancellation, you retain full access to Muna Studio Pro features until the end of your active paid billing cycle.

5. Real-Time Voice & WebRTC Audio Processing

When you initiate an autonomous voice tutoring session, your live audio stream and canvas snapshot state are transmitted via secure WebRTC protocols to commercial speech-to-text and AI reasoning APIs solely to generate real-time Socratic voice dialogue and canvas drawing operations. Audio streams and snapshot frames are processed ephemerally and are not used to train public foundation models.

6. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights in all lecture slides, textbook excerpts, study notes, formulas, and files you upload to the Service ("User Content"). You represent and warrant that you possess the necessary rights, licenses, or fair-use educational permissions to upload said materials.

By uploading User Content, you grant Muna a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to process, parse, index, and render your materials solely to deliver your private study spaces and personalized tutoring features.

7. Data Retention & Inactive Account Policy

If your paid subscription expires or is cancelled, your account transitions to the free scratchpad tier. Muna preserves your study spaces, Cornell notes, vector chalkboard diagrams, and past transcripts so your academic history remains intact if you choose to resubscribe.

Muna reserves the right to archive or permanently delete study spaces and uploaded files for free or cancelled accounts that exhibit zero login activity for twelve (12) consecutive months, following at least thirty (30) days' advance notice sent to the registered email address.

8. Limitation of Liability, Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

You have the absolute right to export your complete study data archive (multi-file .zip) and permanently delete your account at any time via your Account Settings. Account deletion triggers the permanent erasure of personal data, study spaces, and indexed documents from our active databases.
